'V is for.........Violet' ABC Challenge

Afternoon folks,
Sorry I'm a little late posting today it has been a bit manic here but anyway nuff about that for now as it's time once again for another fab challenge over ABC and this time the challenge is 'V is for Violet'. So it's time to think about all that is purpley! (not sure that's a word but nevermind).  Well I chose to use another gorgeously sassy diva from Kraftin Kimmie known as 'Vivienne'. All of the beautiful DP's are from the Paris Nights pad by GCD. I lightly distressed everything with Black Soot DI, coloured with Promarkers and added some sparkle with some Stardust Stickles.

The lace I coloured with Promarkers and I added mores stickles to the yummy violet rose cos you can never have enough bling!! Add a few more pearls, some scrummy brads and voile!

A Touch of Monochrome

Good morning to all in the land of blog,
I hope everyone had a great weekend, I had a fab afternoon yesterday doing some extreme gardening at my parents house which has left me covered in nettle stings but it felt great to be out in the sunshine!
I really just wanted to share this quick card with you today. I created this for a workshop on how to use nestabilities in a different way. I think everyone gets stuck in a rut and sometimes forgets to explore the possibilities of products. This is such a simple technique here, I just used the nestie to create a debossed frame instead of using it to die cut a shape.

The gorgeous main stamped image is 'Pop Stems' from Hero Arts which I simply stamped with black memento and then dotted some of the image and the flower centres with lots of silver stickles. The scroll stamp is from Penny Black and is actually a Christmas stamp with snowflakes but I have strategically placed the flowers to cover these. The greeting stamp is by Papermania as are the punches used to create the flowers. I then added ribbon and pearls from my stash.
I am entering this into the following challenges:
Allsorts - #104 'Birthdays' (Big Happy Birthday to You!!)
Truly Scrumptious - #57 'Anything Goes'
Simply Create - #44 'Special Day/Event'
Simon Says - 'Sparkle and Shine'
Anyway, hope you like it and that you have a great day.
Hugs

Picking Apples

Good morning,
Wow I have even impressed myself. Why you may ask, well 3 posts in a week and more up my sleeve! Not bad ehh? hee hee :-)
Anyway I wanted to share this little card I made for a workshop on DIY embellishments. The flower was made from scratch as was the flower shaped enamel buttons.

The sketch I used is pretty old and I apologise but I can't remember where it came from but it was great to use. The papers are yet again 'Ella Blue' from GCD, teamed with French Roast Coredinations. I used Promarkers to colour and everything was distressed with Frayed Burlap DI.
I am entering this into the following challenges:
Cupcake Craft Challenges - 'In The Garden'
Crafty Catz - #83 'Anything Goes'
Fab 'n' Funky - #73 'Make Your Own Blooms'

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend and thanks for stopping by
big hugs
xx

It's a Nice Day For a White Wedding....

Good evening all,
Thought I would share with you a bit of a different card for me. I designed this card for a class of mine to show off the latest Marianne D cut and emboss folders. I haven't used mirror card for ages and there's not an ounce of distressing! Anyway I do like the clean feel of it and it's good to mix it up a bit. As you can see I used the gorgeous Magnolia bride and groom from the last 'Wedding Collection' and coloured them with Promarkers.

Little close up of the happy couple

I am entering this into the following challenges:
Crafty Cardmakers - #46 'Embossing'
Stamp Something - 'Anything Goes'
Totally Gorjuss - #80 'Not Square'

Florence Catching Some Rays

Good evening my fellow bloggers,
I hope everyone had a good weekend and managed to find plenty of crafting time. So pleased blogger is back up and running felt really lost without it. Anyway, I managed to get some more sample cards done for the Lincoln show and thought I would share this card with you using the very cool Florence from Kraftin Kimmie. The DP's are MME and and Doodlebug teamed with Coredinations.
I created this card for a class I ran last week which was how to use Nestabilities in a different way. For this card I used the negative frame created instead of the positive shape. This was then raised on pads to create 2 recessed panels, a little distressing on the bunting and sand dunes to give it texture and hey presto! As normal I used my trusty Promarkers to colour Florence and the shells.
I have just sent this card to my friends daughter who is in hospital at the mo after a big op so I would like to send her a huge hug and can't wait to see her back home.

I am entering Florence into the following challenges:
Kraftin Kimmie - #78 'Girls Rock!'
Cute Card Thursday - #164 'It's So Distressing'
Paper Sundaes - #69 'Birthday Creations'
Stamp Something - 'Anything Goes'
Passion for Promarkers - #99 'For a Teenager'
Charisma Cardz - #19 'Under the Weather'
The Crafty Pad - #121 'Holes'

Promarker Colour Recipe:

Hair: Buttercup, Tulip Yellow, Sunflower, Gold

ABC Challenge 'U is for..........Underneath'

Morning all sorry I've been awol for the last week but it has been a seriously stressful week, anyway lets hope for a quieter end to the week. Can't believe it's time for another ABC challenge but it is and this week the letter is U is for Underneath so use your imagination. This week we are sponsored by the fabulous Wags 'n' Whiskers.
I have used this gorgeous image from Sarah Kay 'Josephine with her pet cat Kiki', coloured with Promarkers and teamed with the stunning papers from First Edition 'Love Letters'. I used a gem brad to create the swivel panel which hides the hidden sentiment (underneath) which is from Hero Arts. Not sure what happened to my camera but the colours look really flat so must investigate.

Promarker Colour Recipe:
Skin: Blush, Dusky Pink
Hair: Cinnamon
Dress: Pear Green, Marsh Green
Cardigan and Shoes: Carnation, Fuschia
Hat: Satin, Putty
Hat Trim and Belt: Burgandy
Cat: Cool Grey 1 and 3

Sketch for Magical Mondays

 Morning all,
Wow can't believe it's another bank holiday, I hope you are all enjoying another lovely long weekend. Anyway it's time for another challenge over at Magical Mondays and you have a fab sketch to work with created by our own very talented Heidi. Sadly this is my last challenge for the Magical Mondays DT but I would like to say a huge thank you to the whole team as I have loved working with you all and wish you every success in the future.

So on to my card, I chose to use Devilish Donna by Kenny K and as always coloured her with Promarkers. I used fab DP's from Magnolia which I distressed with Black Soot Distress Ink. I added some mini safety pins to capture the goth look then smothered it with some gorgeous flowers and pearls from my stash. The wings were given the sparkle treatment with Crystal Stickles.
