R is for.........Romance ABC Challenge

Morning folks,
It's time once again for another fabulous challenge over at ABC and we are up to the letter 'R' so the lovely Lin has chosen the theme 'R is for Romance'. So we want to see your take on a romantic theme whatever that may be. We are kindly sponsored this time by the lovely Lacey at Stamp and Create so well worth an entry.
My card is based on a Christmas card I made a couple of years ago as I was asked to create an anniversary card in black and ivory to match the wedding theme.

This doesn't really reflect my current style as it is a little precise but I think the recipient will like it (fingers crossed!) The gorgeous DP's are from the Paris Nights collection from GCD. The beautiful frame die is Marianne D. I coloured with my trusty Promarkers and added a little gold stickles to the brides roses.
Anyway, hope you like it. I am now off to pack the shop up as I am exhibiting at a papercraft show in Bury St Edmonds on Sunday so if any of you are venturing to the show come and say hi!

Big Hugs

Good Evening all,
Sorry I have been awol for a few weeks but I have been a little poorly, I have been barking more than Dexter for the last few weeks which has left me unable to get any sort of decent sleep, meaning I just about had enough energy to get through a day at the shop and little more.
Anyway I have quite a few creations to share with you now, but here is the first of my many attempts using the beautiful images from Chocolate Baroque. I have become completely addicted to the very talented Glenda's designs and am thrilled to now stock them in my store.

This first card uses a delightful image from the 'Home Sweet Home' collection and I have teamed it with lots of white coredinations and a gorgeous dp from the GCD 'Ella Blue' pad, coloured with promarkers and finished with a sprinkling of stickles, pearls and a cute charm.

This week we have reached the letter 'R' and would love to see your creations using 'Roses'. Also we are being sponsored by the lovely Nicki from Bunny Zoe Crafts so please show your support!

I have chosen to use the gorgeously quirky image from Simply Sassy called 'Love a Latte'. These images are great fun to colour and work really well for teens (and us older girlies who just don't wanna grow up!). The papers are once again from my much loved 'Ella Blue' paper pad by GCD.
I have smothered it with loads of roses which I first spritzed with Irridescent Gold Glimmer Mist and finished everything else with Frayed Burlap DI and faux stitching.

Frosty Santa's Little Helper

Well good morning all,
I'm back!! still living in a world of chaos but I couldn't stay away any longer. So without further ado here is a little wintery design to get me started. I have decided this year to try and make at least some of my Christmas cards throughout the year (it will be a first!) so here goes.
I have used the gorgeous 'Santa's Little Helper' from Magnolia and coloured her in a sort of vintage frosty style with my Promarkers. Lots of layers of lovely coredinations card edged in pumice distress ink and teamed with the beautiful Ella Blue Dp's from GCD.

The snowflakes are Cuttlebug and the stunning metal brad is from Dovecraft. I recycled the ribbon from a pack of socks (how very green or tight of me, you choose). The dots are opal liquid pearls and stardust stickles. I am entering this in the following challenges:

Just Magnolia - Week 91 'Going Dotty'
Stamp Something - 'Winter Somethings'
Totally Gorjuss - Challenge 65 'As You Like It'
Allsorts - Week 88 'Saving Nature' (Recycled ribbon from pack of socks)
The Shabby Tea Room - Week 46 'Winter Wonderland'
Passion for Promarkers - Week 84 'Let it Shine'
Let's Ink It Up - Challenge 8 'Anthing Goes'

Artistic or Wonky! shot to give you some idea of the dimension hmmm!

ProMarker Colour Recipe:

Skin: Blush, Dusky Pink
Hair: Sandstone, Cinnamon
Hat and Dress: Pastel Blue
Apron: Ivory, Vanilla
Socks: Ivory, Vanilla, Cinnamon, Cocoa

I would also just like to say a huge thank you for all your kind words whilst I was going through my little crisis.

Magical Mondays Challenge 'Wings'

Hello!
I hope you are all good and the chilly white stuff is not causing you too much distress. I feel it may be a little quiet in the shop this week but I really can't blame people for not venturing out.
Anyway I'd better stop my rambling and get on with the task at hand. Today is the start of another fab challenge over at Magical Mondays this time we want to focus on 'Wings'. Please remember the whole idea behind this wonderful challenge blog is to promote all that is Magical, so whatever theme or sketch that is asked for every entry must use a magical image or it will not be counted. Well enough of the strict stuff here is my contribution for the DT.
I have coloured this gor -geous angel Tilda with ProMarkers and teamed her with some beautiful DP's from GCD's 'Paris Nights' collection. The frame is from a wonderful die set by Marianne D and the border punch is my fave from Martha Stewart.
I added some lace, velvet ribbon, flowers and bling from my stash to finish.

I am entering this into the following challenges:
Quirky Crafts - #39 Cazzy's Recipe 'Black, White and 1 Other (Black, White and Cream)
Allsorts - #80 'Monochrome'
Crafty Creations - #95 'Christmas is Coming'
Daring Cardmakers - 'Spotty, Stripey Christmas'
Passion for Promarkers - 'Old and New' (Tilda stamp is very new and this was my very first MS punch so pretty old)

Thank you so much for visiting my little corner of Blogland and I hope you all have a fab week.

Magical Mondays DT Card and some Sad News

Morning all! wow the start of another week, unfortunately this one is a little sadder for me. On Friday our wonderful Old English Sheepdog Dylan had to be put to sleep at the grand old age of 15. He was one of a kind, he soaked up years of teenage tears, watched me finish school, start work and eventually watched me leave home for good when I met Peter. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't even have my shop name! the name Cloudnine came about when we enjoyed great success at Crufts with him, when asked how we felt we replied "like we were on cloudnine" and from that moment on our kennel name was born later to be adopted for my shop name.

Anyway sorry to mope I did finally manage to finish my DT card for todays magical Mondays Challenge. The theme this fornight is really easy its 'Flowers'. We are being sponsored by the fab Nikki and Lacey and their stamp company Wags 'n Whiskers. They not only kindly supplied the design team with images from their new Fairy special release but are offering the winner 2 Wags 'n Whiskers stamps of their choice.

I chose to use the gorgeous 'Angelica' who was a dream to colour. As always I used ProMarkers and pleanty of Stardust Stickles. Everything was distressed with Frayed Burlap Distress Ink and I added faux stitching to the edges. Once again I used the amazing DP's from the Ella Blue collection by GCD. These papers are stunning and I am fast working my way through them.

All the flowers were edged with Frayed Burlap and Stardust Stickles then I added some lace from my stash and some pearls by Prima. Finally the whole card got a coating of Irridescent Gold Glimmer Mist for that added fairy dust look.

Challenges I am entering:

Totally Gorjuss - #44 'Star'

Fab n Funky - #36 'Flower Power'
